I would like to welcome all of my students and families to an exciting new year at PHES!
I first started at PHES in a "parent role" as three of our four girls were attending 'PEC'. Our busy household of seven has been reduced as most of our girls have started their own households of which one was married two years ago. Our girls have continued their education into college (some receiving a college degree) and our youngest just graduated from PHHS and will be starting college with a full time schedule this fall. I am starting my 14th year at PHES; started in a first grade classroom, taught third grade for seven years and am excited to be teaching my sixth year in second grade.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary, however, I try not to say the 'exact' years we've been married as some of my students still think I'm 'young' (ha! ha!). We have been blessed to have four girls. I love music/singing on praise team at our church, along with outdoor activities such as camping, riding a quad, sitting by a fire with our family and enjoying a Starbucks while grading papers and enjoying some quiet time.
As a teacher, I feel it is important to not only teach academics but, also life skills to be used both in and out of the classroom. I feel it is important to provide a positive environment for all students to learn. Again, I am excited to have your child in my classroom and look forward to meeting each of you.
Respectfully,
